It’s been weird seeing how spread out my friends are now as people move states for jobs and my friends who are still in college go home for the summer. I’m still enjoying spending time in Chapel Hill, but it feels much emptier without all of the people who I was used to seeing regularly. I am super excited to see where everyone ends up and make plans to visit friends once we all get settled into our post grad routines.
I’ve been working on figuring out exactly what my post grad routine is going to be over these past few weeks. I’ll likely make a blog post dedicated to this specifically, so I’m not going to talk about it a lot here, but after lots of internal debates on what I should do for a job I’ve decided I’m going to try to start my own business. I figured that if there’s a time to try, now’s the time, and that I need to have more faith in myself that I can accomplish what I set my mind to. That being said, I’m not fully stopping the job hunt because starting a business takes time and I don’t want to miss out on any awesome opportunities that could come my way in the mean time.
I’m thankful to have parents who are supportive of me, and I am excited to start really working on creating my own business. I don’t have a name solidified yet, but I want to make a company that focuses on bullet journaling and makes it more accessible to those who don’t have the time, artistic skills, or patience to get into it. I’m working on some first steps to get this going currently, and I get excited every time I sit down to work on it or tell a new person about it. The response from friends and family has been really reaffirming, and without it I would be much less confident in myself going into this new adventure.
Back to the blog though. I really enjoyed blogging for class, and I know it’s something I want to continue, but not at the same rate I did before. I plan to get back into blogging, but now only once a week instead of twice. I hope you’re excited to start getting regular updates from me again, there’s so much exciting things coming up in my life that I can’t wait to write about. Until next week!
